I learned the trade of broom making while working at the Farmer’s Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Over the course of four years, I became deeply interested in finding the precise balance between form and function but found my expression somewhat limited by the museum’s guidelines in terms of historical accuracy and traditional presentation. I have since left Cooperstown in order to run a bed and breakfast in Amagansett but have continued making brooms. What started as a curious side gig has grown into a daily practice; and coming soon, the brooms I’ve made since relocating to Long Island will be available for purchase.
