A Disruption

A DISRUPTION
of the indefinite continued progress
of existence and events in the past, present, and future
regarded as a whole

90 minutes
(4M, 2W)

The life of a tech start-up company, spanning roughly 18 months, passes by in a continuous take, within the frame of a Wednesday all-team meeting between the hours of 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. A team is assembled, a time-based scheduling app (“You’ll never be late!”) is dreamed up, developed, packaged and marketed. The mid-play intrusion of a philosophical venture capitalist sends each character careening in a different direction as they face the realities of commodifying time itself. Functioning both as a workplace drama and a sociological critique on society’s willingness to blindly worship the brand, A Disruption effectively dramatizes how technology is changing our lives and the way we live.
